Thank you for your interest to be a part of this ministry to children in the inner city of Erie, PA. Please review the following information and make your decision carefully in submitting your application to be considered for this year’s camp staff as we will be completely intentional in our purpose.

Purpose: To provide a venue by which the Mission can use engaging and popular activities such as athletics, arts & science to share the message and Good News of Jesus Christ to youth and to continue to build strong relationships and support for families in the inner city.

Camp Dates:
Week I—June 18-22 (Burton Elementary School-1661 Buffalo Road)
Week II—July 16-20 (Wayne School-650 East Avenue)
WeekIII—July 30-August 3 (Bethel Baptist Church-1781 West 38th Street)
*Each camp will have a mandatory All-Staff Training date on the Sunday before that week.

Age Group: Children entering grades 1st-5th
Activities: Basketball, Soccer, Dance, Music, Fine Arts, Science
Family Celebration Event: Each week will conclude with a celebration night/closing ceremony event on Friday evening for the participant’s families, giving them an opportunity to showcase what they have learned throughout the week (6PM-8PM) This event will give us the ability to connect with and encourage the family unit. All volunteer staff will be expected to be in attendance for this as well.
Volunteers:
We will look to recruit between 60-70 camp staff for each week to make up the following teams:
Basketball
Soccer
Music
Fine Arts
Dance
Science
Snack/Food
Security
Shadow/Floater—Will work one on one with a child and/or in various areas of the camp as needed
Nurse

All camp volunteer staff must be enthusiastic, hard-working, and enjoy working with young children, have a relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and be confident in their ability to share why they have chosen this. Minimum age requirement is high school and above.
All Staff are expected to commit to the team training on Saturday or Sunday before camp begins, entire week of camp, and Family Celebration event on the concluding Friday evening.

Camp Schedule:

8:30AM-9:00AM—LITE BREAKFAST FOR CAMPERS (juice, granola bar, fruit)
9:00AM-9:45AM—OPENINGSESSION (Worship Music with Praise & Motion Team & Message of Camp Theme)
9:45AM-10:45AM—ACTIVITYSESSION 1
10:45AM-11:05AM—SNACK
11:05AM-12:05PM—ACTIVITYSESSION 2
12:05PM-12:30PM—CLOSINGSESSION (Review of morning message & worship songs learned)
12:30PM-12:45PM—DISMISSALWILL INCLUDE A TAKE HOME LUNCH

Camp Staff Schedule:
Team Training: Held on the Sunday before each week, from 3-7PM. Site TBD
Daily Schedule: 7:45AM-12:30PM
Family Celebration Night: 5:00PM-8:30PM
